Bill Hunt, CEO and Founder
Bill Hunt is Champro’s founder and CEO. As a key leader, he supports President Ryan
Hunt, who drives Champro’s business initiatives and direction. In his current role, Bill
focuses on finding opportunities to improve Champro’s products, services and
operations, as well as facilitate changes that contribute to building Champro into a
stronger organization.
Bill founded Champro in 1986 with the goal of providing performance-quality athletic
equipment and uniforms, using a reduced overhead model that allowed Champro to
keep costs down — savings the company passed on to the customer. Champro also
set out to provide more personalized and responsive customer service and faster
delivery than the advertised brands. Bill and the Champro team have continued to
prioritize those objectives through the next several decades.
Prior to founding Champro, Bill worked for more than a decade for several sporting
goods companies. He served as international purchasing manager for fishing tackle
company Berkley and as general manager of the baseball/softball division for Wilson
Sporting Goods, a sports equipment manufacturer. Before he began his career, Bill
was a Peace Corp volunteer in Ethiopia, where he managed a factory that made
hand-woven carpets and apparel.
Bill brings more than 50 years of experience in the sporting goods industry to his
role at Champro. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Olaf College.
He served for 12 years as chairman of the Ethio-American Trade and Invest Council.
Ryan Hunt, President
Ryan Hunt serves as Champro’s president. In this role, he works closely with the
senior leadership team to define company priorities, develop strategies and drive
forward Champro’s business initiatives and direction.
Ryan joined Champro in 2005 as the director of marketing, playing a key role in the
company’s brand initiatives. In 2012, he became the vice president of marketing and
product development, overseeing Champro’s marketing priorities and product
innovations. Champro named Ryan president in 2017.
Before he began his career, Ryan was a Peace Corp volunteer in Honduras, where he
worked in economic development.
Ryan brings more than 20 years of experience in the sporting goods industry to his
role at Champro. He holds an MBA from American University Kogod School of Business
and a bachelor’s degree in economics and Asian studies from St. Olaf College.
Jill Clark, Vice President of
Finance and Accounting
Jill Clark serves as Champro’s vice president of finance and accounting. In this role,
she oversees all of Champro’s accounting and financial reporting functions, including
financial forecasting and planning. Jill joined Champro as controller in 2018 and was
promoted to her current position the following year.
Prior to joining Champro, she spent 16 years in the commercial banking industry —
starting first as a financial analyst, then serving in controller roles. In those positions,
Jill led finance and accounting teams responsible for financial reporting and financial
audits. Before that, she worked as a public accountant and audit manager for
Arthur Andersen.
Jill brings more than 25 years of professional accounting experience to her role at
Champro. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois
State University.
Nick Dow, Vice President of Operations
Nick Dow serves as Champro’s vice president of operations. In this role, he oversees
all of the company’s global supply chain and operations functions, including
distribution and logistics, inventory management, and engineering. Nick joined
Champro in 2023.
Before Champro, Nick worked in health care at Medline Industries. After joining
Medline right out of college, he spent the next 17 years with the company in various
operations and finance positions, including several senior leadership roles. In his
most recent position with Medline as vice president of inventory management, Nick
led various areas of the business during the pandemic and global supply chain
disruption, while maintaining the industry’s highest service level.
Nick brings more than 20 years of experience in supply chain and operations
management to his role at Champro. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University
Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from
the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Nick is an active supporter at Feed My Starving
Children, a nonprofit organization that distributes nutritious food to children
throughout the world.
Jim Dusbiber, Vice President of
New Business Development
Jim Dusbiber serves as Champro’s vice president of new business development. In
this role, he focuses on identifying new business opportunities in growing markets
and sales channels, as well as nurturing Champro’s existing business relationships.
Jim joined Champro in 2006 as a customer service representative. In 2010, he became
one of the company’s first territory sales managers. In 2016, he took on additional
management responsibilities supporting the sales team and focusing on new
business development. Jim was named to his current role of vice president
in 2022.
Jim brings more than 15 years of experience in sales management and business
development to his role at Champro. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences
from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville.
Sammy Huntley, Vice President of
Product and Marketing
Sammy Huntley serves as Champro’s vice president of product and marketing. In this
role, he oversees product development, branding and marketing. With a heavy focus
on innovation, he also leads Champro’s new product initiatives. Sammy joined
Champro
in 2021.
Prior to joining Champro, Sammy spent more than a decade at Under Armour, serving
as the company’s vice president, global team sports outfitting. There, he led all
product creation and implementation strategies for Global Football, Major League
Baseball, NCAA, the Olympics and international outfitting. Before that, he owned
Pinnacle Sporting Goods, where he managed all aspects of a full-service retail
sporting goods business. He also held leadership positions at Russell Athletic.
Sammy brings more than 30 years of experience in global merchandising and
product creation to his role at Champro. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial
management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Sam Noffs, Vice President of Global Sales
Sam Noffs joined Champro in 2022 as vice president of global sales and strategy.
In this role, he leads the strategic planning process, supports the sales management
team, and manages relationships with key accounts and buying groups.
Prior to joining Champro, Sam spent more than 13 years at Nike, Inc., in various sales
leadership roles. At Nike, he was responsible for sales and distribution strategy for
Nike Sportswear in North America — a business he helped grow to more than $2 billion
in annual revenue. Before Nike, Sam served as an executive trainee and retail buyer
for Macy’s Midwest, formerly a division of Macy’s, Inc.
Sam brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and strategy to his role at
Champro. He holds an MBA from Portland State University and a bachelor’s degree in
business administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Sam regularly serves
as a volunteer for Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization that distributes
nutritious food to children throughout the world.
Janice Sisk, Human Resources Manager
Janice Sisk serves as Champro’s human resources manager. In this role, Janice
oversees recruiting and staffing, performance management, and training and
development for Champro. She also ensures the company complies with all federal,
state and local human resources regulations. Janice joined Champro in 2019.
Before Champro, Janice spent nearly two decades at Northwest Pallet Supply Co.
Although she started in the company’s accounting department, she quickly
transitioned to human resources and built its HR department from the ground up. She
ultimately ascended to the director of human resources role, where she led a team of
recruiters and HR generalists.
Janice brings more than 15 years of experience in human resources to her role at
Champro. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and
communications from the University of Iowa. She has served on several boards
throughout her career, including the Johnsburg Village Board of Trustees and the
Community Park Board.
Cinthia Ustariz, Vice President of Manufacturing
Cinthia Ustariz is Champro’s vice president of manufacturing. In this role, she
manages all global manufacturing operations for custom and decoration apparel in
the northern hemisphere. Cinthia joined Champro in 2022 as director of
manufacturing and was promoted to her current role of vice president five months
later.
Prior to joining Champro, Cinthia served for six years in several leadership positions at
Medline Industries — starting as an engineering services manager and finishing her
tenure with the company as product development director. At Medline, Cinthia
managed product development for several product lines, including apparel.
Throughout her career, she has held apparel manufacturing positions at several
companies throughout the U.S., Canada and Central America.
Cinthia brings more than 30 years of experience in apparel manufacturing and
operations to her role at Champro. She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial
engineering from University of San Pedro Sula in Honduras. She earned her Master
Black Belt Certificate in Lean Six Sigma from York University in Toronto.
Ed Verbitski, Vice President of
Information Technology
Ed Verbitski is Champro’s vice president of information technology. In this role,
he oversees the company’s technology strategy, infrastructure and software
development initiatives. He ensures all of Champro’s systems align with the
company’s business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support innovation
and growth. Ed joined Champro in 2015.
Before joining Champro, Ed worked at BIR Training Center, a higher education
institution for 13 years. He served as the organization’s IT manager for seven years.
There, he led the implementation, maintenance and security of the organization's IT
systems and software development initiatives.
Ed brings more than 20 years of experience in information technology to his role at
Champro. He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer science and
mathematics from Novosibirsk State University in Russia.
